The Graphics Card
The Microsoft Surface Laptop Go features an integrated GPU called Intel UHD Graphics G1 based on Ice Lake SOCs with 32 EUs and is integrated into its processor/CPU. This Intel UHD Graphics G1 is the sluggish GPU form within the Ice Lake U series and features only 32 of the 64 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Blocks). It has no dedicated graphics memory which means that it has no eDRAM cache just resembling the Intel Iris Graphics 655 ancestor of the Coffee Lake SoCs. The clock rate (the frequency) of this graphics processor rests on the processor model. At the time it was introduced it's like all models have a 300 MHz base clock and only differ within the boost clock which is around 1050 - 1100 MHz. One more distinction is the thermal design power as it can be set up from 12 - 25 Watt in the 15 Watt U-models and maybe even greater with the 25 Watt models that might come afterward. This GPU is better in performance compared to the old Intel UHD Graphics 620 found in Whiskey Lake processors because of the greater core count and enhanced construction. The GeForce MX110 is slightly better than this Intel UHD Graphics G1.
