Intel Pentium Silver N5030

Pentium Silver

The Intel Pentium Silver N5030 is a laptop processor primarily designed for low-cost notebooks available in the last quarter of 2019. Although it is not as fast as the Core i7/Core i5/Core i3 processors, still it can perform daily computing tasks such as web browsing, basic word processing, and spreadsheet and watching HD movies.  This SoC has a base clock speed of  1.1GHz with a boost speed of 3.1 GHz. The Pentium Silver N5030 is the upgraded version of the older Pentium 5000 and offers an additional 400 MHz boost clock.
It has an integrated graphics controller called UHD Graphics 605 which is based on Intel's Gen9 architecture, which supports DirectX 12.  This iGPU is equipped with 18 EUs and a clock speed of up to 750 MHz. The performance is almost on par with the older HD Graphics 5300 and HD Graphics 505.
Similar to the older version, Intel specifies the thermal design power (TDP) of 6 watts. The chip can consequently be cooled passively but models with fans are possible as well.

The Intel Pentium Silver N5030 has a CPU Mark of 2665 (as of January 25, 2020). Compared to other processors, AMD Athlon Silver 3050e has a rating of 3015; AMD 3015e has a score of 2678; AMD 3020e scores 2652, while Intel Pentium 6405U has a score of 2356.
