Expanding the Lineup: A Review of the New Dizo Watch D Pro and Ultra

Dizo Watch D Pro and Ultra

Dizo, a brand under the Realme TechLife umbrella, recently announced the expansion of their Watch D series with two new members: the Watch D Pro and Watch D Ultra. The series, which began with the launch of the original Watch D in June, followed by the Watch D Plus in November, is now adding the Pro and Ultra variants to the lineup. In this article, we will take a closer look at the features and specifications of these two new smartwatches and discuss what sets them apart from the previous models in the series.

Dizo Watch D Pro

The Pro variant of the Watch D series comes with a 1.85” square display and one physical button on the side. The screen can reach up to 600 nits of brightness and supports a 60Hz refresh rate. The device has an aluminum frame and includes sensors for heart rate and SpO2 (blood oxygen) tracking, as well as the ability to track sleep, calories, and steps.

One of the major new features of the Dizo Watch D Pro is the inclusion of the Dizo D1 chipset. The company advertises that the chipset comes with an independent GPU and 4x more RAM on the side to bring fluid scrolling, better animation, and "other powerful features." Additionally, the Dizo OS has been updated to include more features, support for more watchfaces, and further customizations.

Another highlight of the Watch D Pro is its sports tracking capabilities. The device can track over 110 sports modes, including onboard GPS tracking. Battery life is said to be up to 7 days. The Dizo Watch D Pro will be available in Black, with three different color options for the silicone straps: Blue, White, or Black. The device is set to launch on January 17th on Flipkart, and is priced at INR 2,699, which roughly converts to $32 or €30.

Dizo Watch D Ultra

The Dizo Watch D Ultra features a smaller 1.78” diagonal AMOLED screen with a higher 368x448 resolution. Unlike the Pro variant, the Ultra model does not come with a custom-made OS or CPU, but it does maintain Bluetooth calling support and includes the same array of sensors.

One of the standout features of the Watch D Ultra is its battery life. The device is advertised to have a battery life of up to 10 days. Additionally, the design of the Ultra is slightly different from that of the Pro model. The device will be available in Blue, White, or Black, with again, the color options only relating to the silicone strap. The Dizo Watch D Ultra is set to launch on January 12th on Flipkart, with a price tag of INR 3,299, roughly $40 or €37.

Conclusion

The Dizo Watch D series has expanded with two new models: the Dizo Watch D Pro and Dizo Watch D Ultra. While both devices share many features and specifications, there are also some notable differences between the two. The Dizo Watch D Pro comes with a custom-made D1 chipset, an updated Dizo OS, and the ability to track over 110 sports modes, whereas the Dizo Watch D Ultra stands out with an AMOLED screen and longer battery life. Ultimately, the decision of which model to choose will depend on personal preferences and priorities. Both models are set to launch soon on Flipkart, with the Pro launching on January 17th and the Ultra on January 12th.
