Realme has confirmed that the GT Neo 5 will be the first phone to support 240W wired charging. The GT Neo 5 has been listed on Chinese certifying authority TENAA's website with full specifications. There are two versions of the GT Neo 5, one with a model code of RMX3706 and the other with a model code of RMX3708. The only difference between the two is the battery size, with the RMX3706 having a rated battery capacity of 2,425 mAh and the RMX3708 having a rated battery capacity of 2,225 mAh. This means that the typical battery capacity of the RMX3706 and RMX3708 will be 4,850 mAh and 4,450 mAh, respectively, assuming that the smartphones are packing dual-cell batteries.
Previous leaks had claimed that the GT Neo 5 would have a 150W version and a 240W model, with the former packing a 5,000 mAh battery and the latter coming with a 4,600 mAh cell. Both the RMX3706 and RMX3708 will feature a 6.74" 2,772x1,240-pixel resolution AMOLED screen, an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 3GHz, and four cameras. The front camera will be a 16MP unit, while the rear camera will be a triple camera setup consisting of 50MP, 8MP, and 2MP units.
Both variants of the GT Neo 5 will have three RAM options (8GB/12GB/16GB) and four storage options (128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB), an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster, and 5G connectivity. Despite the difference in battery size, both the RMX3706 and RMX3708 will be 8.9mm thick and weigh 199g.
The Realme GT Neo 5 is set to be unveiled next month, with the date yet to be revealed by Realme. It is believed that the GT Neo 5 will be introduced to the global market at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.
One of the most impressive features of the GT Neo 5 is its support for 240W wired charging, which is significantly faster than most other smartphones on the market. This means that users will be able to charge their phones much more quickly, reducing the amount of time they need to spend waiting for their device to charge.
In addition to its fast charging capabilities, the GT Neo 5 also boasts a high-resolution AMOLED screen and a powerful octa-core processor, which should ensure smooth and efficient performance. The four-camera setup, which includes a 50MP main camera, should also allow users to capture high-quality photos and videos.
Overall, the Realme GT Neo 5 looks set to be a promising smartphone with a range of impressive features. Its fast charging capabilities and powerful hardware should make it a strong contender in the smartphone market. We'll have to wait until the official unveiling to see exactly what the GT Neo 5 has to offer, but for now, it looks like a promising device.
