Realme 11 Pro Plus Leaked with MediaTek Dimensity SoC and 200MP Camera: A New Mid-Range Contender?

Realme 11 Pro Plus

Realme, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is set to release its latest smartphone, the Realme 11 Pro Plus, in May 2023. The device is expected to be a mid-range phone that combines the Xiaomi 13 Ultra's looks with the camera performance of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The device's latest leak suggests that it will come equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity SoC, instead of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or a Dimensity 9200 chipset.

The Realme 11 Pro Plus's alleged model number (RMX3740) has surfaced on Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by an ARM MT6877V/TTZA SoC, which has the same specs as the Dimensity 1080. However, it is expected to be the 7050, a new release of the same 6nm profile aimed at next-gen 5G smartphones.

The MediaTek chipset is a distinctly mid-tier processor that is expected to run at a maximum speed of 2.6GHz, with Mali-G68 graphics and Wi-Fi 6 support. While this may seem like a downgrade from the Realme 10 Pro Plus, which was powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset, the MediaTek Dimensity SoC is designed to provide a balance between performance and affordability. This means that the Realme 11 Pro Plus could offer a competitive price point without compromising too much on performance.

On the other hand, the device's display is expected to be a FHD+/120Hz panel, with RAM of 12GB or more. The RAM could potentially be LPDDR5, which is a significant improvement over the LPDDR4X RAM used in the Realme 10 Pro Plus. The device is also expected to run on Android 13, the latest version of Google's mobile operating system.

Realme has been teasing the Realme 11 Pro Plus for some time, and it has been compared to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in terms of design. However, the Realme 11 Pro Plus is expected to have a camera setup that is closer to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The device's camera setup is expected to include a Leica-tuned 1-inch sensor and a 200MP main shooter.

It is worth noting that the Geekbench leak may not be entirely accurate, and Realme may have different plans for the Realme 11 Pro Plus's chipset. Nonetheless, the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 is a capable chipset that could make the Realme 11 Pro Plus an attractive option for consumers looking for a mid-range smartphone with decent performance.

Realme has not yet announced the Realme 11 Pro Plus's official launch date, but it is expected to arrive in May 2023. The device is expected to be priced competitively, although it remains to be seen how much it will cost. With its promising specifications and attractive design, the Realme 11 Pro Plus could be a formidable competitor in the mid-range smartphone market.
