Schenker's Vision 14 and Vision 16 Laptops Upgraded with Intel Raptor Lake-H and RTX 4070

Schenker's Vision 14 and Vision 16

Schenker, a leading manufacturer of high-performance laptops, has recently announced the refresh of its Vision 14 and Vision 16 series, introducing upgraded CPU and GPU options to deliver even more power and performance. These new models feature Intel's highly anticipated Raptor Lake-H processors and are equipped with Nvidia's latest RTX 4070 mobile GPU, making them some of the most powerful laptops in their respective categories. Despite the increased performance, Schenker has managed to maintain the world's thinnest and lightest design for these models.

Let's start with the Vision 16 Pro, which is hailed as the world's lightest premium ultrabook in terms of both form factor and performance class. This impressive laptop boasts an Intel i7-13700H CPU, along with the option to choose between the RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 dGPU, both featuring a 95W TGP. The Vision 16 Pro's sleek and lightweight design is made possible by its AZ91D magnesium chassis, measuring just 354 x 245 x 17.1 mm. Despite its slim profile, the laptop weighs a mere 1.6 kg. Notably, Schenker has made improvements to the cooling system, incorporating larger and quieter fans, an additional heat pipe for the graphics card's VRAM and MOSFETs, and the use of liquid metal (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut) coolant for both the CPU and GPU.

The Vision 16 Pro is equipped with several impressive specifications, including support for up to 64 GB of DDR5-4800 RAM (non-soldered), two M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD slots with RAID 0/1 option and pre-installed thermal pads, a 16-inch IPS display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 95% sRGB color gamut, 240 Hz refresh rate (with a power-saving mode of 60 Hz), and a peak brightness of 350 nits. In terms of connectivity, the laptop offers a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.0b video out, an audio combo jack, and a full-size SD card reader. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 for wireless connectivity. Other features include an FHD webcam with Windows Hello support, a full-size keyboard with large arrow keys, and an 80 Wh replaceable battery.

Moving on to the Vision 16, the non-Pro variant, it doesn't include the RTX 4000 dGPU, resulting in a slightly lighter weight of just 1.5 kg. However, it still offers an impressive 80 Wh battery that can provide nearly 11 hours of continuous runtime.

For the Vision 14, Schenker has incorporated the same i7-13700H CPU found in the Vision 16 models. This laptop also offers an optional RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU with 6 GB VRAM (compared to the standard 4 GB) and a lower 50W TGP. Despite its smaller form factor, the Vision 14 manages to maintain a compact design, measuring just 16.6 mm thick and weighing 1.33 kg (1.28 kg without the dGPU). The port selection remains consistent with the 16-inch model. Similar to the Vision 16 Pro, the Vision 14 incorporates an efficient cooling system with two fans and utilizes liquid metal compound for improved thermal performance. Additionally, the Vision 14 boasts a remarkable 99 Wh battery, making it the only laptop on the market with such a large battery capacity. It is capable of delivering an impressive battery life of up to 12.5 hours, even when using the RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU.

It also supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 for seamless wireless connectivity. Similar to the Vision 16 models, it features an FHD webcam with Windows Hello support.

Upgrading to the RTX 4070 GPU will incur an additional cost of €295.

The Vision 16 non-Pro variant, starting at €1,549, does not include a dedicated GPU. However, it still offers excellent performance and a lightweight design, making it a compelling choice for users who prioritize portability and battery life.

The Vision 14, priced at €1,499, comes with an Intel i7-13700H CPU, no dGPU, a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD, 16 GB (2x8 GB) of DDR5-4800 RAM, and a 3K IPS panel with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Upgrading to the RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU will incur an additional cost of €275.
