4th Generation Ryzen 5 |
The AMD Ryzen 5 4600H is a mobile SoC for big laptops based on the Renoir architecture. The Ryzen 5 4600H incorporates six (6) of the eight (8) cores built on the Zen 2 microarchitecture. The cores are clocked at 3.0 GHz, the base clock speed, up to 4 GHz using the Turbo Core and support SMT to processing up to 12 threads at once. The chip is fabricated using a 7 - nanometer process .
The Ryzen 5 4600H must be considerably slower than the Ryzen 7 4800H because
of two reasons: the two cores are deactivated; and it has a slower Turbo Core
clock speed, The previous topmost model Ryzen 7 3750H is still slower because
of the four Zen+ cores.
Aside from the six CPU cores, the APU / SoC also incorporates Radeon RX Vega 6
GPU with 6 CUs and up to 1.500 GHz clock speed. The dual-channel memory
controller provides support to DDR4 - 3200 and LPDDR4-4266 RAM module.
The Ryzen 5 4600H is fabricated using the 7-nanometer (nm) process. The
Thermal Design Power (TDP) rating is identified to be 45 Watts thus the CPU
can be utilized in large, regular, or gaming laptops / notebook PCs. The TDP
can be adjusted to 35W up to 54 Watts by the laptop manufacturers. This SoC
has 3 levels of cache memory, from 384 KB level 1 cache to 11 MB level 3
cache. The related APU called Ryzen 5 4600HS is the 35-Watt variety of the SoC
with the same specifications.
The Ryzen 5 4600H quad-core SoC has a CPU Mark of 14924 as of this writing.
