Lenovo has announced the global release of its Smart Paper tablet, which was initially released in China as the YOGA Paper. The device boasts a 10.3-inch E-Ink display, running on Android AOSP 11 with a Rockchip RK3566 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. The device has a 3,550 mAH battery, which Lenovo claims can last for up to 170 hours of note-taking on a single charge.

The display on the Smart Paper has a resolution of 1,872 x 1,404 pixels, providing a pixel density of 227 PPI. It also offers 24 adjustable brightness levels and 24 temperature tones. The display supports EMR pen technology and has 4,096 pressure levels with tilt detection, making it suitable for use with a stylus.

In addition to its E-Ink display, the Smart Paper also has Bluetooth 5.2 BLE support, 802.11 ac WiFi, and twin microphones. It comes with 64 GB of storage, which should be sufficient for most users. The device weighs 408 g and measures 195 x 226 x 5.5 mm, making it relatively lightweight and easy to carry around.

The Smart Paper will be available later this month in the Eurozone for €479. It will come with a Smart Paper Pen and a Smart Paper Folio case, although the pricing details for these accessories have not yet been released by Lenovo.

Overall, the Lenovo Smart Paper looks like a promising addition to the E-Ink tablet market. Its long battery life and support for a stylus make it well-suited for note-taking and other forms of writing. The fact that it runs on Android also means that it has access to a wide range of apps, making it a versatile device. It will be interesting to see how it compares to other E-Ink tablets currently on the market, and whether it can carve out a significant market share for itself. So, the Lenovo Smart Paper could be a great choice for those who want a lightweight and long-lasting tablet that is optimized for writing and note-taking.
