10th Generation Core i7 |
The Intel Core i7-10510U is an upper mid-range SoC for typical laptops. It is power efficient quad-core SoC based on the Comet Lake generation and launches in the 3rd quarter of 2019. In comparison to the Core i7-8665U, the only modification is the support for greater memory speeds, which supports DDR4-2666 versus 2400 in i7-8665U. The CPU cores are clocked at 1.8 GHz, which is the base clock speed, but with TurboBoost up to 4.9 GHz. Using all four cores the clock speed reaches a maximum of 4.3 GHz. Because of HyperThreading technology, the CPU can process up to 8 threads at once. This SoC was manufactured using the 14 nm technology.
Additionally, the processor integrates a VP9 and H.265 decoder and encoder.
Other features include Dual-Channel DDR4 Memory Controller that supports
DDR4-266, LPDDR4x 2933, and LPDDR3-2133; HyperThreading, AVX2, Quick Sync,
Virtualization, and AES-NI. It has 3 levels of cache memories, from 256 KB
level 1 to 8 MB level 3 cache memory.
The Core i7-10510U has a TDP of 15 Watts (the PL1 – Power Limit 1) but can be
adjusted from 10 watts to 25 Watt from the builder, which gives rise to
different performance levels.
This i7-10510U processor has an integrated graphics controller called Intel
UHD Graphics 620 which is clocked from 300 MHz up to 1.15 GHz. The performance
of this integrated GPU is in between that of the discreet NVIDIA GeForce 910M
and GeForce 920M. The Intel UHD 620 integrated GPU is most suitable for games
such as Team Fortress 2, Rocket League, and other less demanding games.
The Core i7-10510U has a CPU Mark of 6981 points. On the other hand, the
i7-8665U has a score of 6617, the
Core i7-1065G7
has a score of 8989 and
Core i7-10750H
has a CPU Mark of 12649. The higher the CPU Mark of the processor the better
its performance. But still, there are other factors affecting the overall
performance of the laptop or computer, this includes the RAM, GPU, cooling
system, etc. For comparison to other processors, visit this link, CPU Mark of AMD & Intel SoCs.

The benchmark scores of the recorded processors are averages calculated among
various machines. The scores and real-world performance of the Intel Core
i7-10510U and compared processors may differ subject to the laptops' included
components, settings, cooling system, and other factors. On the other hand,
the benchmark scores are good markers of the processors' performance.
Generally, the higher the scores, the better its performance level. See this
